Islam21c can confirm that the 1^st of Dhul Hijjah 1438 will be tomorrow, Tuesday – corresponding to 22^nd  August 2017 – based on multiple eye-witness testimonies. As the majority of Muslims in the UK follow Saudi Arabia in starting and ending Ramadan tomorrow will be the day of Eid. The declaration from the Saudi Supreme Court is expected shortly.

It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The month is twenty-nine days, so do not fast until you see it, and if it is cloudy then complete the month as thirty days.”

Based on this narration, since, the moon of 1st of Dhul Hijjah 1438 has been sighted tonight, we will end the month of Dhul Qa’da 1438 tonight at Maghrib and celebrate ‘Eid al-Adha on Thursday, 11^th of Dhul Hijjah 1438 – corresponding to 1^st of September 2017 In sha Allah.
